Okay, I can promise you that this will be the simplest and shortest post ever. And that’s because this “recipe” is hardly even that. These crispy whitebait are simply dusted in a little flour that has been seasoned with sea salt and pepper, then shallow fried on a high heat in some light olive oil. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top, (or if you’re a salt fiend like me, a little more sea salt on top). And that’s it.
Cheap, fast, healthy. And by the way my four year old loves these, he calls them fish chippies.
