OOTD :: Team Style File Mini Fashion Challenge

One of the best things about Instagram is finding like minded people. And while checking out celebs and seeing how the 1%’ers dress and look is nice, what I really love is finding real women and seeing what kind of fabulous outfits they put together for their real everyday lives. Seeing the OOTD’s that real women of all shapes and sizes come up with is major fashion inspo.

So I was stoked when I recently discovered the @TeamStyleFile profile, run by stylist Kimba of Kimba Likes. {And how has it taken me so long is really the question here???} I was especially happy to join in on my first fashion challenge in a while, just a mini challenge for a week because you guys, a whole monthly challenge of any kind is a seriously big commitment.

Easy enough, what with skirts, stripes, florals, and leopard being right up my alley. So here’s how the week looked, and I’ll say right now that it was as much fun as I thought it’d be, and even more fun seeing how others styled the prompts.

monday: #ilovethatskirt | tuesday: #stylefileWORK

Mondays skirt prompt saw me revisit a much loved combo with this dark green palm print maxi skirt from Big W and pleat tiered cami from Sportsgirl. For Tuesdays prompt I was actually off to work as opposed to working from home, and went with the Frankie frock from Little Party Dress.

wednesday: #stylefileFLORAL | thursday: #stylefilePALETTE

Floral and mesh leggings from Big W met the prompt on Wednesday, while Thursday saw me return to default setting for the palette that is most me: black with a touch of leopard and raspberry pink. Montpelier maxi from Decjuba {#repeatoffender}, sandals from Big W, and Mac lippie in shade All Fired Up.

friday: #stylefileLEOPARD | saturday: #TeamStripes

On Friday I went with the Charlotte dress from Little Party Dress. I have it in a few prints and it’s one of those throw-it-on-and-look-awesome things I can’t get enough of. For stripes I went with this cute layered dress from Target, which I loved last summer but kind of forgot about for a while, despite the stripes and layers making me look kinda pregnant.

sunday: #stylefileSUNDRESS

Finishing off the week in my Sunday best, I decided it was the perfect occasion to debut this super cute gingham sundress I’ve had for a while but had yet to wear. From the Ines de la Fressange range at Uniqlo, it was a great way to wrap up the fashion challenge, and the weekend in general, and gave me all the stylish French vibes.

Click on any of the highlighted links for more info, and let me know if there are any other fashion challenges or Insta profiles I need to know about!

Til next time, A.
