OOTD :: All White

After starting a new job I soon realised that all my many and varied frocks weren’t really going to cut it as work wear, and for various reasons I was forced to accept that I would need to be wearing more of that one item I have never liked: pants.

Jeans? Yes please. Pants? Not so much.

And after it became apparent that the massive clothing cull of 2018 had left me with mostly black tops and strappy cami-type singlets, I went in search of white tops that fit my own personal work wardrobe criteria.

And among the boring everyday ones are these two that I really love:

First cab off the rank rank, paired here with the long-lusted-after gingham crop pants I picked up in the Christmas sales, is this bell sleeve linen number. Ticks all the boxes, and was from Suzanne Grae.

Okay, this top I LOVE LOVE LOVE, and makes me wonder why I have never made more time for white tops before. From Decjuba {I also have it in black}, I have to say I was feeling myself stupid when I paired it with these wide leg Decjuba pants. Now wide leg pants are one of the most unforgiving fashion items ever, basically being best suited to tall skinny gazelles, but the crepe-like fabric seems to be what made the difference here, giving it that nice weight so they don’t billow out.

And what’s headed this way in today’s Iconic delivery?

White tops.
