OOTD :: Slip Dress

I knew it was out there.

Even when I tried on one version after another that was never quite right, I never stopped believing that the perfect 90’s slip dress was out there somewhere.

I didn’t expect it to be in a leopard print though, which just took it’s perfect-nes to a whole other level.

Bias cut slip dresses in satin or silk can be sooo tricky, they need to fit like they’re made for you otherwise they just look shit. There was a black number I ordered online which at first glance looked perfect, but the hip seams sat at my waist and once on the whole effect was very unflattering. I offered it to my daughter though, and it fit her like a glove. This dress, when it arrived and I raved how awesome the fit was, looked completely shapeless on her.

This was the perfect choice for a long planned night on the town, paired with a classic denim jacket and ankle boots, it proved as comfortable and easy to wear as it is gorgeous.

And who doesn’t love that feeling when you slip on a killer dress?
